Methods of  Water Transportation

Water Transportation refers to taking water from treatment of plant to customer and source of purification plant, it involves area of consumption. Its sources are at higher level than the treatment plant, water flow under gravity, automatically after necessary purification of water. It categorized into inland, water way, ocean transport.

kinds of methods:-

Ocean and sea transport - It used for long distance travel and global trade. Examples are Fishing vessels, Cargo ship, passengers ship.

Inland waterways - It used for transporting goods and passengers via rivers, canals and lakes. Examples are Boats, ferries, barges.

coastal shipping- It used for transport long coastline. Example Coastal cargo ships, Ro-Ro ships for vehicles.

Recreational water transport - It used for leisure activities. Example Yachts, Jet skis, Canoes.

Specialized water transport- It used for specific purpose. Example Submarines, Hover crafts, Hydrofoils.
